Pharmaceutical & High Tech

Pharmaceutical and High-Tech material handling processes are often lightweight, with product carried between processes within defined carriers that often need to be handled with care.  Environments can be challenging, with narrow corridors, smaller rooms, low ceilings and stringent cleanroom and hygiene requirements.

A high degree of automation can be found in the high-tech and pharmaceutical industries.  This tends to be at the process level, since handling and placement of components or mixing of raw materials needs to be of a high accuracy.  These industries have a complex manufacturing process, with a single batch having over 1,000 non-linear sequence operations.  This production complexity is sometimes contrasted with human-centric handling processes – manual loading of raw materials, buckets, totes & liners & trolleys for inter-process movements.  The end product tends to be high-value, variable-volume and small size.

At RM Group, we can call on our over 25 years experience of industrial automation to analyse and solve the inter-process transport problems often presented. Our line of lightweight AMRs are ideally suited to this environment, able to work between line processes and safely with production staff.

Contact us today about Pharmaceutical & High Tech

This was the first equipment we have sourced from RMGroup and, given our time constraints, they fully met our brief. The pick and place cell rapidly improved our efficiencies and outputs by 40%, helping to reduce labour costs and allowing us to be more competitive for our flowpack range of products. Our working relationship with RMGroup was very good during a challenging period time wise, and although we have no immediate plans for further installations, any future expansion plans will certainly entail cooperation with RMGroup
