RMGroup expands cross-territory sales with new sales manager for Australia appointment
RMGroup, a leading packaging machinery and robotic automation company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mervyn Cupples as their new sales manager for Australia. The strategic move highlights RMGroup’s commitment to expanding its business by establishing a dedicated sales team in the country, following the success of its US subsidiary. The presence of a local sales team will facilitate cross-territory sales, local installations and provide comprehensive after-sales support for the region.
With over 15 years experience in the manufacturing industry, Mervyn brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He has held various key positions in business development, account management, contracting and account retention, where he had responsibilities for promoting flexible plastic films, SOS bags, cartonboard, WPP bulk bags and industrial paper sacks.
“I was introduced to RMGroup by a customer, whose opinion I hold in high regard,” said Mervyn. “Their glowing comments about RMGroup’s exceptional quality, exceeding expectations, value for money, and outstanding customer service motivated me to become a part of their Australian business venture. The market opportunities for RMGroup in Australia and New Zealand are diverse and exciting, spanning sectors such as animal feed, seeds and grain, nuts and pulses, oil mulch, and aggregates – the possibilities are endless.”
Edward Rees, RMGroup’s managing director, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Mervyn to the RMGroup family. With his extensive experience in the packaging industry, his market knowledge will be invaluable in promoting our products to relevant industries. I have no doubt that he will make a significant impact in this key role.”
RMGroup supplies and manufactures a wide range of manual and automated packaging systems. These include robot palletising systems, pallet wrapping and material handling systems, as well as supplying a wide range of bagging solutions, weighing systems, and high-speed form fill and seal packaging lines.
