Triple Hopper for Game Feed
When a new customer contacts us with a need for more than an off-the-shelf solution, understanding the requirements, desired outcome and limitations are very important. This enables RMGroup design engineers to offer the customer the best solution at the best price. RMGroup have recently had this type of challenge, the project ran successfully and adds another system to the ever-growing portfolio of bespoke packaging and palletising machinery.
The brief: To provide a high-speed bagging line for game feed which should be as continuous as possible, minimum disruption to production and ensuring health and safety for their employees.
The project: A triple hopper feed manual bagging system. The 3 hopper approach was designed so the customer can fill one hopper as one empties, allowing a faster throughput.
The project was passed from the Technical Design department through to manufacturing where the steel was cut on the in-house Bystronic Byspeed laser cutting machine. The components then went through to welding and fabrication before being sprayed. All these processes are checked for quality each step of the way by RMGroup Quality. The customer is kept up to date with the progress and is welcomed to see their machinery during the manufacturing journey. The advantage of being able to take the project from design to manufacture, installation and servicing allows the customer a one-stop-shop. All packaging machinery is assembled and tested in the workshop before being delivered, installed and tested on site.
