Days Aggregates are one of the UK’s largest aggregate suppliers, providing some of the UK’s major builders merchants with various aggregates. To keep up with demand during the summer season of 2014 Days Aggregates hired both of our contract hire mobile packaging lines.
Bagging aggregates in the port of Southampton, managed by our experienced operators, the hire lines provided them with the required increase in production to effortlessly meet deadlines as well as saving them a vast amount on raw material transportation costs to and from their packaging plants. So impressed with the packaging capabilities of the hire lines Days purchased their own brand New Mobile Packaging Line, our flagship LTF 800.
Capable of processing 200 tonnes per day the LTF 800 would effortlessly meet the high demands of Days Aggregates various packaging sites. The impressive speeds are achievable due to the use of a Vertical Form Fill & Seal machine with conveying to an ABB IRB 460 robot, the fastest of its kind in the world that effortlessly palletises the bagged aggregates ready for distribution. The lines are branded in the company colours as per requested by the customer which can be seen from the aggregate packaging line below.
Our flagship LTF 800 was nominated for an award at this year’s PPMA Group Industry awards where it was ‘highly commended’ in the ‘Most Innovative Automation System of the year’ category.
