Managing Director Edward Rees presents cheque to family hospice Ty Hafan following successful charity bike ride
Earlier this year Edward and friend Nigel hopped on their bikes and cycled from John O groats to Lands end, all in aid of family hospice for young lives - Ty Hafan. The journey to scale the length and breadth of the country took all of 10 days, they both covered just under 100 miles a day. Thanks to their efforts, they raised a huge £8,580.00. Tŷ Hafan offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the whole family. Most importantly this care is given completely free of charge to the families in Wales who need it.
Providing this level of support and care costs over £3m every year, so every pound raised really does make a big difference.
Well done Nigel and Edward (Pictured far right)! |

April sees the launch of the new MB-300 manual bagging system from RMGroup.
RMGroup are pleased to announce the arrival of the MB-300 as part of our manual bag filling systems range. Our engineers have been developing this system which can be applied to various products including aggregates, salt, decorative gravels, wood pellets, cat litter, animal feeds and much more.
We wanted to design a robust bagging system which was operator friendly, capable of high throughputs, needed very few consumable spares and becomes accessible to those who were new to the packaging industry. From this, we developed the MB-300 compatible with many applications. The system comes complete with 4 tonne hopper 3210mm(h)x2000mm(w)x2000mm(d), shaker tray, electronic load cell bag clamp, weigh indicator, trolley and Star 66 heat sealer with pedalstool and footswitch. The line can be operated from single phase power and requires an air supply of 7 CFM.

Reviews from customers who have recently hired RMGroup's mobile line. . . .
"Due to the large amount of salt Online rock salt imports, it made sense to invest in a mobile bagging line. The salt is shipped into the UK so having the ability to easily move the line between ports quickly was vital. Due to the high demand caused by this winter Online rock salt needed an additional bagging line sooner than expected. Online rock salt contacted RMGroup who offered us a bagging line on hire, to be followed by delivery of our new LTF 800 - mobile bagging line in June 2011. RMGroup installed the plant in one weekend and trained our own operators to use the new machine. We have been really pleased with the service from RMGroup so far and look forward to working with them over the coming years."
